Welcome Home Grand Opening & FREE Open House

Celebrate the completion of the massive two-year transformation to update and modernize Rocket Arena with a very special “Welcome Home” Grand Opening event at 10:00 AM immediately followed by a FREE open house that will run until 7:00 PM. The open house will give the public its first opportunity to tour their “all new” home for sports and entertainment prior to its grand opening Black Keys concert on Monday, September 30th.

Know Before You Go

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, September 28^th as we officially open the doors to our new Home – Rocket Arena from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

To ensure that you have a safe, fun, and memorable time at Rocket Arena for the Grand Opening event, please read the important event information below:

Doors:

• 10:00 AM: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Huron Street
• 11:00 AM: Doors Open to the Arena

All entrances to Rocket Arena will be open for this event, including the RTA entrance.

Event Highlights:

• Self-Guided Tours: Take a self-guided tour of the Arena! Upon entry, you will be handed a map of the concourses, outlining new features for you to check out. A limited number of listening devices will be available for you to check-out and take a tour on your own with added commentary. These can be signed-out near the Sherwin-Williams Entrance.
• Giveaway for All Fans: Everyone attending the open house will receive a commemorative Rocket Arena Grand Opening laminated ticket and lanyard.
• Prizes All Day: Ahmaad Crump and the Cavs entertainment teams will be giving away great prizes that include autographed Cavs player jerseys given out every 30 minutes; tickets to 2019-20 Cavs and Monsters games, upcoming events like The Black Keys, Jurassic World, Carrie Underwood, WWE and more.
• Eat, Drink, and Enjoy: A variety of food and beverage options will be available for purchase at all concessions, including new food concepts from notable local chefs like Michael Symon, Rocco Whalen, Matt Mytro, Fabio Salerno, Karen Small, Jonathon Sawyer and more, as well as Launch Test Kitchen favorites Tiwanna Scott-Williams and Vic Searcy. Enjoy discounts on select food items at all Fan Fuel locations, including special pricing on fountain soda and draft beer at all Arena locations.
• Photo Opportunity: Stand on the Cavs court for a picture with the 50th Season logo.
• Exclusive Open House Deal: The Cavaliers Team Shop will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM for the Open House to shop for all the latest Cavs and Monsters gear. With a $50 Team Shop purchase (in-store only, not available online) receive a Spalding Replica Game Ball for only $5.

Parking and Transportation:

• Parking: Special Grand Opening Event parking rates at facilities that are just steps away from Rocket Arena in the Gateway District include:
  • Gateway East Garage - $5 parking (cash only) 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM; enter at Huron Rd.
  • MK Garage - $5 parking all day (across from Rocket Arena/entrances on both Huron Rd. and Prospect Ave.)
  • Flat Lot - $10 parking all day (directly across from Rocket Arena)
